Share the Love…Jenie Grantham’s Story

Recently I came across Jenie’s story, and it warmed my heart and reignited my passion for Sport Clips. Jenie is one of the many examples of why I do what I do, and I hope you enjoy her Sport Clips story, too!

I can’t sit here and tell you I have an amazing Sport Clips story because I don’t. What I can tell you is I have an amazing Sport Clips family! I was a single mother when I joined Sport Clips in July of 2017. We had just found out my dad’s lung cancer came back and I was worried about going to work because I wanted to take care of him. Thankfully, it wasn’t as bad as we thought so I took the job and, I’ve never looked back. When I started I was unsure of myself; very insecure. Everyone was so helpful in training me how to perfect my cuts and within six months I was promoted to Manager. My Team Leader, Bobby Yarbrough, has always been helpful and shows how much he cares for us. All of the Stylists are friends and they have literally become my family. Before coming to Sport Clips, I went from job to job, never being financially stable and always unhappy. Sport Clips is the first place I have ever worked where I am excited to get to work. I enjoy my job and I love everyone I work with! After going to the National Huddle in San Antonio, I realized how big this company is and how much they value their Team Members. I got married this year and bought a brand new car (which I have never done before). I’m such a happier person. I no longer doubt myself and I genuinely enjoy life. And not to sound cliché, but I truly do owe it to Sport Clips. I have Clients who feel like longtime friends when they walk through the door, and Team Members who constantly remind me I’m doing a good job and encourage me every day. They have helped me stay positive and have made me a better person. I want to put it out there, way beyond than little Valdosta, Georgia, that I’m truly and sincerely grateful for Sport Clips; my Team Members, my friends, my family.
