Team Member Spotlight – Thomas Beecher -The path from Student to Successful Store Manager

I always get excited to share stories about our Team Members! This Team Member’s passion for what they do caught my attention, so I asked him to share the story about his growth from cosmetology student to Store Manager. I am excited to introduce you to Thomas B. from Utah:

It  took me two tries and ten years to find the motivation to finish hair school, but when I did, I was on top of the world! I graduated with honors and I was the valedictorian of my class. I was ready to take on the world, but there was only one problem… my men’s cuts were terrible, and I didn’t have a clientele. So, I applied at a high-end salon as an assistant and also at Sport Clips. I had a plan. I was going to put in my time as an assistant and work for Sport Clips for a few months until I mastered men’s cut then it was off to find my fame and fortune.

Well, it turns out Sport Clips really had something to offer. I loved the atmosphere and the people I worked with! Over time I started working more days at Sport Clips and fewer days at the high-end salon and I haven’t looked back since! Sport Clips has been such an amazing opportunity for me and has helped me grow as a professional stylist like I never would have thought possible! A year and a half after getting my license I am now the manager of my location and I couldn’t be happier!

I now have an amazing career that I am so proud of! I love my work and my team!  Helping my team members grow has been a great honor in my life and it has helped me grow. as well! If you’re lucky enough to have a license to do hair, do yourself a favor and get a job at Sport Clips where you can set yourself up for success!
