Unveiling the Trending Hairstyles for Men and Boys: Sport Clips’ Artistic Team Collection 2023 Takes Stylists to New Heights.

Jul 19, 2023

Every two years, the Sport Clips Artistic Team debuts their “Collection” – a custom creation of trending hairstyles for men and boys. The Collection is designed to inspire and motivate Sport Clips stylists and these specific looks are included as part of in-person training.

This year, three Artistic Team Members developed new looks, with each one focused on short, medium, and long hair. The variety in hair length ensures stylists can keep their skills fresh while creating different styles and testing varying techniques in class before offering them to clients on the cutting floor.

Pauline Pryor, who has been with Sport Clips for 13 years, created the long hair look; Brittany Burton, who joined Sport Clips in 2013, came up with the look for medium-length hair; and Dorothy-Anne Lacy, created the short hairstyle.

The Collection is more than just new hairstyles, according to Stacia Kelley, Sport Clips artistic director. “This is an opportunity to elevate our internal education to focus on specific trends and techniques and maybe even encourage stylists to step out of their comfort zone to get that precision cut, elevated look Sport Clips clients want,” she says.

But what is often even more impactful – these training classes for the Collection are done in person. “While other brands are training stylists

virtually, Sport Clips stylists get to experience that critical, one-on-one, in-person training with these looks to keep their skills sharp and the looks they create for clients even sharper,” explains Stacia.

This is the fourth Collection introduced since the Artistic Team was established in 2014.
